In line with today’s most accurate and realistic railway modelling, Lima introduces two new item numbers dedicated to the iconic Vivalto NCDP double-deck coaches (Nuove Carrozze Doppio Piano), now also operating in Trenitalia Tper livery.
The detail that makes the difference:
The first-series NCDP “Vivalto” coaches (Nuove Carrozze Doppio Piano), fitted with Siemens SF400 bogies and distinctive protruding side grilles, were originally built with a completely smooth roof.
During production, however, 14 longitudinal stiffening ribs were introduced in the central roof section to increase structural strength.
The FER (Ferrovie Emilia Romagna) units—now part of Trenitalia Tper—acquired several Vivalto coaches featuring this ribbed roof configuration, faithfully reproduced on these new Lima Expert models.
These are the first Lima reproductions of Vivalto coaches in this livery, also featuring a significant tooling modification on the roof section. They are currently running in real service alongside our E464 “Lima 80 Years” HL2673.
