About Lima

Discover the history of the Lima brand! Lima, Lavorazione Italiana Metalli e Affini was founded in Vicenza in 1946 and immediately distinguished itself for the production of metal toys.

Over the years Lima has become a world leader in the production of railway models in H0 scale (1:87), N scale (1:160) and 00 scale (1:76).

Today the Lima brand is kept alive by the Hornby group through Lima Expert, a line of products that for processing, technology, engineering and difficulty in use, intended for an adult audience; and Lima and Toys and Lima Hobby Line, lines instead dedicated to new recruits entering the world of railway model making.
